Overview

Over the last 10 years, there has been an increased presence of the Indian community in Borehamwood and surrounding areas. The first formal Borehamwood event was organised as a Diwali Party in 2021 by the community and for the community. This grew in strength to an even more successful Diwali Party in Oct 2022. This was attended by over 150 people in the community and also showcased the talent in community in the cultural events. With growing presence of the Indian community, it is important to find ways for the community to interact and support each other.

Borehamwood Indian Cultural Society (BICS) was set up in April 2023 by people in the community who were instrumental in organising the 2022 Borehamwood Diwali Party. BICS provides a platform for the community to be able to access like minded people in the community, celebrating festivals and events together. BICS membership is open to all people with Indian origin living in Borehamwood and surrounding areas. Read more on the website to learn about clubs and groups, upcoming events and membership.
