Event Details

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, Borehamwood Indian Cultural Society (BICS) is delighted to bring the second edition of  ‘Annual BICS Children Art Competition’, a prestigious event organized by our society. This competition offers a wonderful opportunity for the young artists to showcase their creativity and foster togetherness and inclusiveness within our vibrant Hertsmere community. The event welcomes both in-person and online submissions, so everyone will be able to participate.

Judging

Our judging panel consists of three judges who will evaluate online and in-person submissions separately, categorized into three age groups: 5-8 years, 9-12 years, and 13-15 years. Trophies and medals await the winners in each category and the artists will have the opportunity to have their artwork displayed at our annual Diwali Celebration event and on our website. Esteemed council members will present these prizes to the talented young artists.

Age Group: Children aged 5 to 15 years

Online Event

Submissions open: 07 September 2024

Submissions close: 07 October 2024
Results: 15 – 17 October 2024 via email

Prizes: 19 October 2024 in person

 

Entry is free of charge. For the in-person competition, we provide A4 or A3 size paper, and children are encouraged to bring their own colors and pencils. It is important to note that a responsible adult should accompany all participating children. We will also offer free drinks and biscuits to all in-person participants, along with certificates of participation.


For those who prefer online submissions, the same themes apply, and entries should be created on A4 or A3 size paper, with a picture submitted online during registration. The online submission deadline is 04th October 2024. Winners of the online competition will be notified via email between 15th to 17th October 2024.
